Distinctively dark. Broad character. Rich and full.
In the late 1990s Babbitt developed the Otto Link New York model for tenor. These pieces have less material in the floor than the more vintage models, producing a darker sound. The tips are a little narrower as well. These metal models have silver under the 24K gold plating, and a large tip opening font stamped on the shank. This is true of the long body, standard and NY models.
